
A Chicago man has been charged with a brutal home invasion and sexual assault of a 38-year-old woman, as reported by the Chicago Police Department. Law Davison, 36, faces multiple felony counts, including home invasion with a firearm, sexual offense, and aggravated criminal sexual assault with a firearm.
Davison, residing on the 6500 block of S. Lowe Ave., was apprehended on October 9, 2025, after he allegedly entered the victim's residence on the previous night in the 2800 block of N. Milwaukee Ave. The police detailed that the arrest was made at 8:01 a.m. in the 400 block of W. 77th St., where Davison was taken into custody and charged. He has also been charged with one count of felon in possession of a weapon.
The incident, which is said to have occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. on October 8, led to Davison's detention, where he awaits a hearing set at 2600 S. California. The Chicago Police Department's statement did not offer additional details about the circumstances of the invasion or the subsequent arrest.
In relation to the upcoming court procedures. Davison's detention hearing will take place on October 11, 2025. This hearing is expected to determine whether he will be granted bail or remain in custody pending trial.
