The Clarksville Police Department has been on high alert since a shooting incident yesterday night resulted in a 20-year-old male victim found with a gunshot wound. In response, law enforcement shut down a section of Ringgold Road, intensifying their search for the suspected shooter. According to WSMV, the suspect is described as a man with shoulder-length dreads last seen in gray sweatpants and a hoodie. On the following day, the police narrowed their closed road perimeter to the stretch between Brentwood Circle and Ishee Drive.
While the perimeter has been lifted, the suspect remains at large, prompting the Clarksville Police to urge residents in the vicinity to stay vigilant and report any suspect activities. "Residents in the area are asked to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious by calling 911," reports from Clarksville Online reiterated. The current condition of the gunshot victim, who has been transported to Tennova Healthcare, is still unknown as the investigation continues.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found injured after the police responded to the scene around 9:35 p.m. Main Street Clarksville also confirmed that the road closure extended from the 101st Airborne Division Parkway to Fort Campbell Boulevard, significantly impacting local traffic and raising concerns among the community members.
Detectives and crime scene technicians continue to process the crime scene where the only section of Ringgold Road remains closed. Despite the closure and the manhunt, as of the latest updates, the identity and motives of the shooter are still shrouded in uncertainty, casting a shadow of unease across Ringgold Road's residents.
