The Clarksville Police Department is actively seeking a driver who may hold key information regarding a motorcycle crash earlier in the month. Per WSMV, the incident occurred on October 22 on Madison Street and involved the driver behind the motorcycle moments before the collision. Detectives believe this individual could possess critical insights into the crash's circumstances.
Authorities have shared a description of the potential witness's vehicle: a white four-door sedan with at least some front-end damage. Coming directly from the CPD, "FACT Investigators believe the driver may have witnessed important details and are asking them to come forward," Clarksville Now reported. The public's assistance is paramount, as any piece of information could contribute significantly to the case; the sedan's driver remains unidentified.
Police spokesperson Scott Beaubien conveyed that if the vehicle's owner or anyone with knowledge of the incident comes forward, it would greatly aid in wrapping up the ongoing inquiry. The aftermath of the crash was severe enough for the motorcyclist to be airlifted to a Nashville hospital for treatment, as further detailed in a WHOP's article.
The Clarksville Police Department has made an open call for additional video footage or any form of information that could illuminate the events that led to the crash. FACT Investigator Creighton has been assigned to handle incoming tips, and potential informants can reach out to (931) 648-0656, ext. 5367. Whether the driver who may have seen the crash or anyone else with relevant knowledge comes forward, it's the department's hope that they can stitch together the narrative of that October afternoon on Madison Street.
