A tragic case of domestic violence occurred in Cutler Bay yesterday. Lynn My Le, a 26-year-old woman, was taken into custody following an altercation that left her 15-year-old sister with multiple stab wounds. The incident took place inside their home located in the 21100 block of Southwest 92nd Avenue, according to reports from Local 10.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office reported that the attack happened at roughly 3:30 p.m. The victim was taking a respite in the living room, when she awoke to Le sifting through her cellphone. Upon confronting Le and retrieving the device, it is alleged that, Le escalated the situation by arming herself with a black knife. In an attempt to escape, the victim ran toward the front door only to be stabbed approximately four times in the back by Le.
Despite collapsing to the floor, the attack continued. As stated in NBC Miami, the teen was subjected to further violence as Le allegedly "continued to stab her all over." The arrest report reveals a chilling detail, "the victim pleaded for her life," which, fortunately, led to the cessation of the assault, leaving the teenager wounded but alive on the floor.
Authorities have indicated that the victim sustained approximately ten puncture wounds, though her current condition has not been disclosed. After the incident, Le, who now faces charges of attempted felony murder with a weapon, with the remark "domestic violence" was apprehended and transported to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. As of the time of reporting, she has refused to speak to detectives, says deputies.
