Davie Teams Up with Harvest Drive to Help Feed Broward County Families for Thanksgiving

The Town of Davie, in collaboration with Harvest Drive, Inc., has launched a food drive to support families in need within the Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) system. As reported by the town's website, the drive will run from today through November 17, with the aim to provide these families with groceries sufficient for a week, alongside items for a complete Thanksgiving meal.

Residents looking to contribute can donate a range of specified items, including non-perishables like canned vegetables and proteins, boxed mashed potatoes, cereals, and more. The organizers have specified a list of acceptable donations and have requested the community to strictly adhere to these items to ensure no substitutions are made. This focused effort seeks to address the specific needs for the holiday meal preparations.

The Town of Davie has detailed drop-off locations for donations that are spread out across several facilities, including the Town Clerk's Office, the Pine Island Multipurpose Center, and Davie Fire Rescue Department Main Lobby, among others. Operating hours for these drop-off points extend throughout the week, with adjusted times to accommodate Friday and weekend contributions.
