The Town of Davie is moving forward with plans to improve pedestrian safety along Orange Drive through the construction of a new sidewalk and pedestrian bridge. The project will add a sidewalk on the north side of Orange Drive from SW 67th Avenue to SW 92nd Avenue, along with a pedestrian bridge near SW 92nd Avenue.
According to the Town of Davie’s official announcement, a community meeting will be held on October 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center, located at 3801 S. Pine Island Road. Town staff will present details about the project’s scope, timeline, and expected impact, and address questions from residents and business owners.
The improvements are intended to enhance walkability and provide safer routes for pedestrians. Residents seeking more information before the meeting can contact Project Manager John Doherty at [email protected] or 954-797-1007. A Q&A session will follow the presentation to allow community members to share input and clarify concerns about the upcoming work.
