Deerfield Beach to Host Breast Cancer Awareness Walk in Partnership with American Cancer Society

Deerfield Beach is gearing up for a community-driven Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. Slated for October 18, from 10 AM to 1 PM, participants will make their way through the verdant stretches of Constitution Park Arboretum. Teaming up with the American Cancer Society, the city aims to draw attention and funds to a crucial fight, a fight against a disease that continues to affect millions, according to the city's website.

The event is open to all, from families to city officials, and poses a perfect opportunity for locals to engage in meaningful community action. Registration is simple and free through the American Cancer Society’s website. Participants are encouraged to wear pink, the signature color of the event.

Deerfield Beach is also collecting donations for the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation throughout September and October. Be sure to swing by the donation bins with any clothes, shoes, or household items you can spare, located at three different spots: Hillsboro Community Center, Constitution Park, and the Johnny L.
