The advisory urges the public to avoid swimming, fishing, or jet-skiing in the area.
According to the City of Fort Lauderdale’s website, residents should stay away from water-related activities between S. Gordon Road and Hendricks Isle due to possible health risks. One westbound lane on E. Las Olas Boulevard remains open, while the other is closed for repairs with warning signs and cones in place.
