Those interested in donating can find the collection bins in the Franklin Police Department lobby located at 900 Columbia Ave. These bins will be accessible Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and exceptionally this Saturday during PumpkinFest, as reported by the City of Franklin's official website. The initiative extends the opportunity to contribute to a broad audience, reinforcing the sense of community the department seeks to nurture.

Police Chief Deb Faulkner emphasized the spirit behind the drive: "This is about neighbors helping neighbors," she told the City of Franklin. Faulkner highlighted the department's pride in working alongside OneGenAway, ensuring that the donated food reaches those families who need it most. 

The nonprofit OneGenAway, based in Franklin, has dedicated its mission to eradicating hunger and ensuring access to healthy food for those experiencing food insecurity throughout Middle Tennessee. The food drive's wish list is topped by peanut butter, an indispensable and versatile pantry staple. The list also includes essential items such as canned goods, boxed meals, pasta, rice, and other non-perishables. These donations will directly aid in OneGenAway’s ongoing battle against local hunger challenges.
