An incident of domestic violence in Imperial Beach has led to the arrest of a man after he allegedly stabbed his wife and assaulted his child during a dispute. According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office, the altercation occurred on Tuesday in the 500 block of 5th Street, with deputies responding to a 9-1-1 call made by a 16-year-old juvenile who reported the violence carried out by their father.
The deputies' initial investigation revealed that Enos Perez, born October 4, 1975, engaged in a physical altercation with his wife, who suffered a head laceration. Perez also assaulted one of his children and then fled the location, but was subsequently apprehended in National City with the assistance of local police. The woman, 36 years of age, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the child was treated at the scene and released, while Perez himself received treatment for minor injuries sustained during the altercation before his arrest.
Perez now faces charges including assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and child abuse. He was taken into custody without incident, as the authorities in National City were able to locate him shortly after the violent confrontation.
