
A shooting incident in a West Park neighborhood last night has been linked to 26-year-old Jahmiah Antonio James Alves, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Local 10 reported that deputies responded around 8:30 p.m. to the 4800 block of Southwest 24th Street, where gunfire was reported near a property allegedly identified as an Airbnb, though this has not been officially confirmed.
Alves faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted felon. He was taken into custody and remains held without bond at the Broward County Main Jail. No injuries were reported.
WSVN stated that investigators have not released additional details as the case remains under active investigation.
