
A fight at a Miami-Dade Publix led to the arrest of 20-year-old Climont Mann, who is facing charges of aggravated battery and disorderly conduct. The incident took place last Thursday at the Colonial Plaza Shopping Center. It was captured on video showing Mann using a metal shelf as a weapon during the altercation, according to NBC Miami.
Local 10 reported that the confrontation began inside the store as a verbal dispute before spilling outside, where deputies found two large groups throwing objects at each other. A security guard described the incident as an aggressive verbal altercation that quickly turned violent. Mann, who lives about a mile from the store, had an initial charge of criminal mischief later dropped in bond court.
Deputies and fire rescue crews responded to the scene, where medical personnel treated multiple people, two of whom were taken to a hospital. Video shared with Local 10 shows Mann striking three people with a piece of metal shelving during the fight. Mann is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $5,150 bond.
