Early this morning, an incident of gun violence rattled the vicinity of a Northwestern Miami-Dade smoke shop, leaving one man critically injured and local authorities in search of the perpetrator. NBC Miami reports that the victim, currently unidentified, was found with gunshot wounds following a ShotSpotter alert near the intersection of 27th Avenue and Northwest 45th Street.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, responding to the shooting alert just before 6 a.m., found the wounded man, and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel were quick to transport him to a local hospital, where his condition remains critical. The man's fight for life continues. While officials from the Sheriff's Office have yet to discern the shooter's identity or potential motive, a man and a woman were observed being questioned by deputies, as reported by Local 10 News.
