
Tragedy struck North Park yesterday morning as a 50-year-old man sustained serious injuries while dashing across El Cajon Boulevard. According to the San Diego Police Department's Watch Commander's Log, the incident occurred at 6:23 AM and involved the man being hit by a vehicle driven by a 70-year-old male. The 3100 El Cajon Boulevard area, known for its bustling activity, was the unexpected stage for this unfortunate episode.
The pedestrian, who was attempting to cross the highway divider, ran directly into the path of an oncoming GMC Jimmy, resulting in the collision that left him with a fractured pelvis and a facial laceration. The traffic units responded and spearheaded the investigation into how this could have happened.
