The Clarksville Police Department has recently made headway in the homicide case of Nolan Jackson, the 31-year-old Memphis man found dead on Darlene Drive on October 5, 2025. Through their investigation, police have charged 22-year-old Shaliyah Tynise Potts with conspiracy to commit Aggravated Robbery in connection with Jackson's death. The revelation was made in a social media post by the Clarksville Police Department.
Evidence has started to strongly suggest that both Jackson and Potts were participating in some type of criminal activity that may have directly led to the fatal incident. Despite this discovery, a third suspect believed to be connected to the case remains unidentified. The Clarksville Police urged anyone with information about the case to step forward and contact Detective Green, noting that anonymity and a potential cash reward are available for useful tips.
In their announcement, Clarksville Police confirmed that Jackson's family had been notified of his death and that Potts was presently in custody. Beyond asserting her involvement, police have not disclosed additional specifics regarding the alleged conspiracy Potts is charged with.
The press release has also made a public call for assistance, reminding the community that closure for cases like these often depends largely on residents coming together to share, not to stay silent. "Anyone with information is asked to please contact Detective Green at (931) 648-0656, ext. 5149," the Clarksville Police Department statement read, and for those wishing to remain anonymous, they suggested calling the Clarksville Montgomery County Crime Stoppers Tipsline or submitting a tip online at P3tips.com/591.
