The city of Miami is gearing up for the 2025 Mega Puptoberfest, an event dedicated to finding forever homes for shelter animals. According to an announcement made on Miami-Dade's official website, this family-friendly gathering will feature pet adoptions, fall festivities, and health services for pets, including free vaccines and microchips. It's scheduled for Saturday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Deerwood Bonita Lakes Park.
One of the highlights at Mega Puptoberfest this year is the full waiving of adoption fees. In collaboration with the Miami HEAT's ADD$1 program and Kaseya, the cost of adopting a pet will be covered, providing a greater incentive for potential pet owners to adopt. Each animal adopted at the event will already be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Besides the chance to easily bring a new furry friend into one's home, attendees can also look forward to enjoying local produce and handmade goods at the fall festival themed farmers market, food truck options, and live entertainment, catering to all ages.
The special event has been made possible with the support from key sponsors like the Best Friends Animal Society and the Miami HEAT.
