Angelo Garcia, 38, of Miami, was arrested Saturday after allegedly shooting three people at a Little Havana birthday party. He faces multiple charges, including four counts of attempted murder. The incident occurred last Friday just after 1 a.m. at a residence on Southwest 12th Avenue, NBC Miami reports.
Garcia was found by detectives at a Comfort Suites Hotel in Kendall the following day, with a SWAT team assisting in the arrest. A witness told Local 10 that they heard six or seven gunshots around 2 a.m.
The victims—a 75-year-old woman, her 53-year-old son, and a 26-year-old man—were taken to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in serious condition. Garcia’s prior record includes battery charges earlier this year, a 2024 weapons charge, and a 2007 arrest for selling cocaine. He is being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on charges including attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, and unlawful discharge of a firearm in a residential area.
