In the pre-dawn darkness of Miami's Little Havana neighborhood, a shooting incident unfolded, sending three individuals to the emergency room. According to Local10 News, the violence erupted at 1:06 a.m. on the 900 block of Southwest 12th Avenue. Miami police Officer Kiara Delva confirmed that the officers who arrived swiftly on scene found three people with gunshot wounds.
The severity of the situation was forthwith apparent as all victims were rapidly transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, yet their current conditions remain unknown. This account, however, has not yet been validated by the police.
Elsewhere, a gunshot resounded near a Pompano Beach gas station last night, prompting an intense investigative response from Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies. The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. in the 2700 block of West Atlantic Boulevard, as reported by TapInto. Arriving to the scene near a Mobil station, deputies discovered a man who had been wounded by gunfire.
Pompano Beach Fire Rescue crews were quick to transport the victim to medical aid, his condition remaining undisclosed. The Broward Sheriff’s Office has since been canvassing the area, setting up a perimeter in the ongoing pursuit to apprehend a suspect. The names of the involved parties, in both the Little Havana and Pompano Beach shootings, have not been disclosed as investigations continue on these separate but equally troubling acts of violence in South Florida.
