Early this morning, commuters in Boca Raton faced significant delays following a multi-vehicle crash on I-95 South. According to CBS12, the accident occurred just before Exit 45, Glades Road. The report, which came in at 5:13 a.m., indicated that the express lanes were blocked due to the incident.
Updates from the Florida Department of Transportation confirmed that by 5:23 a.m., all lanes had been closed, which was quickly followed by a Florida 511 alert. Moving over or slowing down was advised as Road Rangers were reported to be ahead, managing traffic and the emergency response. Despite the shutdown of the lanes, as detailed by Boca News Now, non-express lanes remained to flow, as shown by traffic cams covering the area.
Remarkably, no injuries were reported at the scene at the time of the initial closure. The focus for responders was on clearing the affected roadways and ensuring the safety of all involved. Meanwhile, Florida 511 kept concerned citizens and motorists updated with real-time information.
