The Nashville Fire Department (NFD) is setting up shop at a new, albeit temporary, location to make way for the construction of a brand new station and headquarters. The move started this week and involves the Fire Marshal's Office as well as administrative operations. Starting today, the former HQ at 63 Hermitage Avenue will shut its doors, according to information obtained by Nashville.gov.
The Nashville Fire Department will relocate its headquarters from Hermitage Avenue to Antioch beginning Monday, October 6. The new facility will be located at 5244 Hickory Hollow Parkway, Antioch, TN 37013. While the physical address is changing, the department’s mailing address will remain the same at P.O. Box 196332, Nashville, TN 37219, to ensure continuity for correspondence.
In a statement released, the NFD mentioned that "community members and partner organizations may experience delays in responses to in-person inquiries." They advise anyone needing assistance to contact their NFD representatives directly or call 615-862-5421 for support, as reported by Nashville.gov.
