The Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department has recently been lauded for its exceptional work in visual communication, earning itself the GDUSA Health + Wellness Design Award for the Brochures + Collateral category. Their Summer Camp Brochure was the piece that snagged the national attention, recognized for its ability to effectively promote health, wellness, and community bonding.
The award is an acknowledgment to the County's efforts to not only to swiftly inform but also to impassion families and their children about embracing active, healthy lifestyles through their summer camp offerings. According to a statement obtained by Palm Beach County Newsroom, director Jennifer Cirillo expressed her team's delight with the win: "We are thrilled to receive the GDUSA Health + Wellness Design Award for our Summer Camp Brochure."
Chris Korbelak, manager of the department's Office of Public Engagement, also chimed in on the significance of design in their outreach efforts. He said, "This recognition emphasizes how effective design helps us connect with the community in meaningful ways."
