The incident took place last night at approximately 8:15 p.m. along U.S. Route 50, in the vicinity of Cleves, LOCAL12 reported. Consequent to the accident, the road was closed in both directions between Cooper Road and State Route 128, as law enforcement officials took to thoroughly investigate the scene.
The pedestrian was struck on the New Hooven Bridge and was pronounced dead at the location, as confirmed by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. FOX19 disclosed that authorities were quickly on the scene, along with fire crews. U.S. 50 was blocked off in both directions to safely facilitate the Traffic Unit's reconstruction of the incident, which continued until the early hours of Wednesday morning, with the road reopening around 3:30 a.m.

At this stage, the identity and age of the pedestrian have not been released to the public. The sheriff's office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
