Port St. Lucie Police arrested an Arkansas man following a home invasion, with assistance from the department’s K9 Unit. According to CBS12 News, the incident occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. when a homeowner returned to a residence on the 200 block of SE Village Drive and found the intruder, identified as Jarred Seymour, inside.
The homeowner persuaded Seymour to leave and then called 911, providing a description, direction of travel, and video evidence, Port St. Lucie Police Department reported on Instagram. Officers, along with a drone unit, deployed K9 Ronin and his handler, Officer Gibbons, who located Seymour within 20 minutes.
Seymour was taken into custody and booked into St. Lucie County Jail on burglary charges. PSLPD noted the case as an example of coordinated response between its units.
