A Port St. Lucie man's impulse to self-gratify with a beer run using allegedly stolen financial tools has landed him behind bars. Carlos Alberto Becquer Estepe, 57, was arrested after deputies claimed he funded his refreshments with a stolen credit card. The purchase, two 24-packs of Corona beer from a Wawa on SE Prima Vista Boulevard, took place on October 18, according to the CBS12 news report.

Estepe's choice of payment was allegedly obtained from a lost wallet he found in a parking lot of dd’s Discounts on South U.S. Highway 1, the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office stated. Inside the wallet, which held three credit cards and a driver's license, Estepe allegedly decided, to fund his beverage haul at not only Wawa but also at Sunoco. Yesterday, deputies located Estepe's white cargo van parked outside his home, initiating an arrest without incident as per the recount by WPBF.

Estepe is currently facing two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and remains in custody at the St. Lucie County Jail. According to authorities, Estepe is accused of using another individual’s financial information to make purchases at local gas stations, including Wawa.
