
Rep. Scott Fetgatter, R-Okmulgee, has been recognized by the Oklahoma Nurses Association (ONA) with the Legislative Hero Award for his support of healthcare workers and advocacy for the nursing profession. The award was presented during a luncheon held late last month at the Embassy Suites Conference and Convention Center in Norman, as per the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
In his remarks, Fetgatter expressed appreciation for the work of nurses across Oklahoma, emphasizing their dedication to patient care both inside and outside healthcare facilities.
Fetgatter has served as the representative for House District 16 since 2016, which includes parts of Muskogee, Okmulgee, and Tulsa counties. In addition to his legislative duties, he is involved in business and serves as the Tribal and External Affairs Leader in the House.
He stated that it was an honor to be recognized for his efforts to improve working conditions for nurses and to help ensure that Oklahomans have access to quality and affordable healthcare.
