Tragedy struck the Ingleside District of San Francisco following a grim discovery at a home on Monterey Boulevard. According to the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD), officers conducted a well-being check around 1:23 PM yesterday, leading them to locate four unresponsive individuals who were declared dead at the scene. The SFPD Homicide Detail, now handling the investigation, initially described the incident as isolated, suggesting there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Details surrounding the tragedy have been scarce, as officials continue to unravel the circumstances that led to the four deaths. A coroner's truck, hidden behind white sheets, was seen as the bodies were removed from the home last night. Neighbors were left in shock, with one, Teo Brouwers, stating to ABC7 News, "I was just coming back from school, and I heard it from my mom and you know, my heart dropped."
San Francisco's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is currently working alongside SFPD to determine the cause and manner of death for the two adults and two children involved in the incident. The identities of the deceased have not been publicly released as investigations continue. SFPD has urged anyone with information to come forward and contact the department at 1-415-575-4444 or provide tips anonymously via Text-A-Tip to TIP411, beginning the message with SFPD.
