
San Francisco police have apprehended a suspect in connection with a hit-and-run incident that proved fatal for a pedestrian on Cortland Avenue earlier this month. Last Saturday, authorities were summoned to the scene of the accident at about 2:10 AM, where officers found a victim with serious injuries. Despite the swift response from emergency personnel and subsequent medical treatment, the individual was unable to recover and later died at the hospital.
According to a press release from the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD), the Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (TCIU) launched a full investigation following the incident. Upon reviewing the case details, 21-year-old Perla Rosario Henriquez Ulloa of San Francisco was identified as the suspect. Fleeing the scene after striking the pedestrian, Henriquez Ulloa was later arrested on Thursday.
Officials transported Henriquez Ulloa to San Francisco County Jail, facing a series of charges including felony hit and run, vehicular manslaughter, and destroying or concealing evidence.
