San Marcos detectives are investigating the business practices of a local pet cremation service. Angel Paws Pet Cremation recently became the focus of a criminal investigation, with sheriff's detectives serving a search warrant at the establishment yesterday.
Located in the 100 block of N. Pacific Street, the search at Angel Paws is part of ongoing investigative work, details of which are being kept close to the chest by officials. Information is scarce, as the sheriff's department has not released further particulars about the nature or cause of the investigation. Notwithstanding, the involvement of law enforcement has raised concerns among the community and pet owners who utilized the service.
