Good news for Spring Hill residents: the long-awaited completion of Buckner Lane is finally here. The City of Spring Hill announced on social media that the construction crews have completed the final punchlist items for the stretch of Buckner Lane extending from just south of June Lake Boulevard to near Wades Grove. This undoubtedly comes as a sigh of relief for commuters who have navigated the lane closures and construction barrels for what has seemed like an eternity.
According to the City's update, traffic barrels that once dotted the roadside like sentinels of disruption have been cleared away, and all lanes of traffic are now open for use. However, drivers should note that barrels will stand guard around the Buckner Lane/June Lake Boulevard intersection until the final paving, striping, and signals are fully in place.
While this phase of the project marks a significant milestone, the intersection work remains a hive of activity. Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution in this area, adhering to the temporary traffic patterns until the completion signals the intersection's full operational status.
