A 15-year-old girl is in critical condition after being struck by a white truck in Southwest Miami-Dade yesterday afternoon. According to Local 10, the incident occurred near Southwest 127th Avenue and 204th Street. A retired Miramar police officer, Will Brown, found the girl unresponsive and provided assistance until emergency services arrived.
NBC Miami reported that the teen was airlifted to a local hospital as a trauma alert. Surveillance footage shows her crossing the street just before being hit and dragged by the truck. The driver remained at the scene as investigators began examining the circumstances of the crash, including whether the girl had exited a school bus moments earlier.
Aerial footage from NBC Miami showed debris and a damaged pickup truck at the location. Authorities have not filed charges and continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
