An industrial accident at a Little Falls, Minnesota, property has resulted in injuries to a Texas man early Monday morning. According to the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, Dimas Delgado, Jr, of Eagle Pass, Texas, was involved in the incident while operating a conveyor-style machine designed to load potatoes into trailers.
The accident occurred at around 6:35 am on October 11, when a trailer pulled away unexpectedly as Delgado was working. His safety vest became entangled in the conveyor machinery, causing him to lose his balance, and as a result, the wheel of the conveyor ran over his leg. The details of Delgado's condition were not immediately known following the accident.
Emergency services, including the Mayo Clinic Ambulance, responded to the scene located off of 223rd Street, in Ripley Township, just north of Little Falls. Delgado was subsequently transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
In the wake of the accident, the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol, along with the Mayo Clinic Ambulance service. The agencies worked together to respond to the incident and ensure the victim received prompt medical attention. The authorities are likely to further investigate the circumstances leading up to the mishap, as is standard procedure in industrial accidents of this nature.
