The Union City Police Department has shared an urgent update regarding a recent kidnapping case. The incident, which initially took place last Wednesday, has seen developments with the victim providing additional details on the suspect. According to the Union City Police Department, the suspect is described as a 6'00" tall, heavyset male with dark tan skin and medium-length dark brown hair. Notably, he has vertical scars or tattoos on both index fingers and speaks incoherently or uses another language. A composite sketch of the suspect has been released in the hope that the public can assist in the identification.
This incident resonates with a report from an attempted kidnapping near Itliong-Vera Cruz Middle School. While a young girl was en route to school, a man fitting a similar description tried to abduct her. "The suspect has been described as a tall, heavy-set male," reports Hoodline, further aligning with the details provided in the recent update. With the suspect still at large, authorities are seeking assistance from the community.
Combining details from both sources, the suspect was last seen associated with a dark-colored sedan, which lacks tinted windows, had rosary beads hanging from the rearview mirror, and may have rear-end damage. The public is advised to remain alert and report any sightings or information that could be related to these incidents. Detective Ayala of the Union City Police Department leads the investigation and can be reached at 510-675-5259 for tips.
