The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) women's golf team is set to swing into action at the upcoming Golf Iconic Classic starting Monday, October 13th, with the event stretching till October 15th in Las Cruces, N.M., as reported by UTEP Miners. The team is ready to hit the links for their fourth tournament of the fall season at the NMSU Golf Course, under the hosting direction of NM State. Fans and followers can keep an eye on the scoreboards and live updates online.

With an 8:30 a.m. MT start time for each of the three rounds, the Miners are taking on the green along with various other contenders including NMSU, Boise State, Eastern Kentucky, and several more across the nation's colleges, the competition promises dynamic play from a roster of schools which, by no means, lacks diversity in talent or drive the Miners, of course, being no exception. UTEP athletes Luciana Origel, Blanca Yrizar, Taline Kyoumjian, Atikan Cherdchoo, and Nichapas Thawinwan will represent the team, while Amelia Fridlund and Paige Wood are entering the mix as individuals.

Performance-wise, UTEP is fresh from a 13th-place finish at the Red Raider Invitational in Lubbock, a notch in their season belt that saw Origel tie for 39th place and teammates Cherdchoo and Yrizar tying for 54th, according to UTEP Miners. This next challenge at the NMSU Golf Course, with its par 72 and 6,420 yards, is where the Miners aim to carve another mark into their fall season standings.
