The city will see a 30 percent chance of rain today, mostly occurring after noon, with a high near 62 degrees Fahrenheit. A turn in the weather tonight brings rain, mainly before 3 a.m., and a drop in temperature to around 42 degrees.
The NWS predicts that Monday will start cloudy before giving way to clearer skies, with a high near 50. While the wind won't be particularly strong, it'll blow from the west northwest at around 7 mph. In the evening, temperatures drop to nearly freezing at 32 degrees, under mostly clear skies.
As the week progresses, the skies over Salt Lake City will clear up further. The NWS forecast suggests that Tuesday will be sunny, with a high temperature near 53 degrees and light winds. Conditions will remain calm into Tuesday night, with a low around 37 degrees.
Midweek brings more sunshine, driving temperatures upward once again. Residents can expect a high near 61 on Wednesday and 60 degrees on Thursday and Friday. Nighttime temperatures for the latter half of the week are expected to hover around the 40s, setting the stage for a mostly sunny weekend with a comfortable high of near 65 on Saturday.
