According to a press release sent by the San Diego Police Department, officers were summoned to the La Cresta Hotel at 4980 El Cajon Boulevard after receiving a call regarding an unresponsive woman who appeared deceased.
Police arrived at the scene at approximately 9:54 PM to find the 22-year-old black female victim with upper body trauma; she was pronounced dead at the scene. The nature of her injuries called for the involvement of SDPD Homicide Detectives, who are actively investigating the incident to understand the sequence of events that culminated in her death.
