
A 17-year-old male juvenile has been charged with multiple felonies and a misdemeanor following an incident earlier this month where a 65-year-old man was battered, and property was stolen from a business, Chicago police reported. According to a press release from the Chicago Police Department, the charges against the suspect include one felony count of aggravated battery of a victim over 60, aggravated battery of a merchant, robbery, and a misdemeanor count of criminal trespass to land.
The arrest took place on the evening of November 25, 2025, in the 3800 block of S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Dr., the same area where the original crime occurred. The juvenile was pinpointed as the offender in the robbery and assault that had transpired on November 8, 2025, the incident happening right in the 3900 block of S Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Dr., which falls within the jurisdiction of the 2nd District. According to the authorities, he was taken into custody without further incident.
