A 23-year-old man has tragically lost his life after a shooting incident in Fort Pierce, Florida. The Fort Pierce Police Department (FPPD) reported responding to a 911 call near 1200 North 27th Street yesterday, which was placed at approximately 12:27 p.m., concerning a gunshot wound. CBS12 provided details on the preliminary findings that pointed to an altercation involving a group of men which resulted in the young man being shot.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement officers determined that there had been an altercation among a number of men, and the 23-year-old victim, presumably caught in the midst of it, to sustain a gunshot injury. The man was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital; however, efforts to save his life were in vain as he was pronounced dead.
