Allegiant Travel Company is expanding its reach by adding 30 new nonstop routes, including a new flight connecting Indianapolis with Hollywood. Starting May 22, 2026, passengers will be able to fly nonstop from Indianapolis International Airport to Hollywood Burbank Airport with fares starting at $79, as reported by WTHR.
The route announcement comes as part of Allegiant's strategy to connect small to mid-sized cities with popular vacation destinations at lower costs. "We're thrilled to continue Allegiant's growth by adding these new routes," said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s chief commercial officer, in a statement obtained by PR Newswire. The statement highlighted the company's mission to "connect travelers to world-class destinations at an affordable price."
This expansion signifies the airline's most substantial growth since the previous year, when 44 new routes were unveiled. The latest addition includes, flights from cities like La Crosse, Wisconsin; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Trenton, New Jersey; and Columbia, Missouri. Notably, this will mark Allegiant's return to Trenton for the first time since the economic upheaval caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as detailed in coverage by The Points Guy.
The growth plan includes new markets with one-way fares on some routes as low as $39. Allegiant prides itself on offering less time at the airport, and more time for passengers to enjoy their stays, a hallmark of its leisure-focused business model, noted by PR Newswire. The executive director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority, Mario Rodriguez, expressed excitement about the new service to Burbank, emphasizing the "shared commitment to expanding affordable, convenient options for our community," according to WTHR.
