According to the Chicago Police Department's release, the series of robberies took place early in the morning hours across multiple locations, the offenders operated using a stolen silver Infiniti M37, a maroon Nissan Maxima, and a silver Nissan Maxima committing the series of robberies where they not only snatched belongings but also, in one instance, forced a victim into their vehicle and continued their robbery run with the captive individual in tow before eventually releasing them. The crime pattern suggests a high level of coordination and brazenness among the assailants.
The police have described the suspects, identifying them as 2-4 male African Americans, aged between 18 and 30, all dressed in black or dark clothing with ski masks. Efforts to apprehend the suspects are ongoing, and the police are urging the public to report any distinctive features or information that may assist in the investigation.
