The Chicago Police Department has issued an alert for a missing 12-year-old girl named Yorley "Lupita" Bastidas. Bastidas was last seen on November 19, 2025, leaving Haugan School in the 4500 block of N Hamlin Avenue around 3:00 PM, according to the Chicago Police Department's report. Standing at 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds, the young girl is noted to have brown eyes, brown hair, a light complexion, and is identified as white Hispanic.
At the time of her disappearance, Bastidas was wearing a navy blue Gap sweater, gray sweats, and black sandals. She was also carrying a black backpack, potentially containing items identifiable or valuable in locating her.
The authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and have provided a contact number for Area 5 detectives at 312-746-6554.
