Davie's Fire Rescue Department, along with the Davie Fire Rescue Benevolent Association, is gearing up to spread some holiday cheer with Santa’s Enchanted Fire Station. The community event is set for December 5 and will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fire Station 86, nestled within Shenandoah Park at 14651 SW 14th Street. Entry is complimentary, but bringing a $10 donation or a new, unwrapped toy for the children who might not otherwise receive a gift this festive season is highly encouraged, as per the town's announcement.
This family-friendly gathering isn't just about collecting toys; it's about creating smiles and memories. Attendees will have the chance to mingle with Santa Claus, snap a picture with a fire truck, and enjoy an assortment of onsite activities such as a petting zoo, bounce houses, and face painting. Visitors should enter through the park’s main entrance off Shenandoah Parkway, with free parking offered throughout the area for convenience.
The toys gathered at the event will cover a variety of interests for children in need. According to an announcement published by the Town of Davie, sought-after donations include arts, jewelry, and craft kits, cosmetics, footballs and basketballs, sporting equipment, board games, and radio control cars or trucks. All toys and proceeds from the night will be gifted to Harvest Drive Inc., a charity dedicated to helping families in need throughout the year.
For additional information or any questions regarding the toy drive, the public can reach out to Carley Ventre at [email protected].
