On a chilly Friday evening in Duluth, the local Taco Johns on Grand Avenue became the scene of a brazen robbery, leaving the police in search of a suspect still at large. At approximately 7:50 p.m. on November 7, Duluth Police were dispatched after a white male, roughly 6 feet tall and clad in dark clothing, entered the establishment, brandishing a handgun and demanding money from the startled employees. According to the police report, the suspect managed to escape with an undisclosed sum, thankfully leaving no physical harm to employees, customers, or casual bystanders in his wake. The suspect, who has evaded apprehension, was last seen fleeing the store in an unknown direction.
As details emerged, police firmly requested the community's engagement to swiftly bring closure to the case. Despite the lack of high-quality images for identification purposes, authorities are optimistic that someone will recognize the man based on his attire. As of Monday, November 10, no arrests have been made, but the Duluth Police Department has actively sought public assistance through their appeal for information, stating that anyone with knowledge is encouraged to forthwith call 911 or connect directly to the Duluth Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit at (218)-730-5050.
The urgency of this investigation has not waned as the authorities persevere in their pursuit of justice. Reiterating the call for public assistance, a plea for anyone with information related to the robbery to step forward has been circulated widely through media outlets and social platforms. The police insist that even the smallest detail could be paramount to advance their efforts to locate the individual responsible for the crime.
