Early yesterday morning, a house fire in Deerfield Beach brought Broward Fire Rescue crews to a home near Southwest Second Avenue and Second Court. According to Local 10, firefighters received the call around 6 a.m. and arrived quickly to contain the flames. Three residents were displaced by the incident.

Witnesses told Local 10 that the residents were outside as the fire spread. About 35 firefighters responded, using saws to enter the home, which was secured with storm shutters. The blaze was extinguished without any reported injuries.

WSVN captured visible fire and smoke damage to the exterior of the home. The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents with temporary housing and support.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. The investigation remains ongoing.
