In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, a combined force of local law enforcement and the FBI executed three simultaneous search warrants across the Portland metro area, resulting in a notable seizure of drugs and firearms. According to information provided by KATU, the operation was conducted in Portland, Milwaukie, and Vancouver, Washington.
Collaborating in this large-scale operation were the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Dangerous Drug Team and federal partners, which include the FBI, IRS, US Marshals Service, and the Postal Inspector Service. Investigators managed to permanently remove nearly 14 pounds of various narcotics from circulation and confiscate two firearms, as Country Herald reports. Among the substances seized were 3.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 7 pounds of cocaine, approximately 6,500 Xanax bars, a large collection of LSD tablets, more than 2.5 pounds of mushrooms, and nearly a pound of MDMA.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office detailed further that the seized drugs were complemented by the recovery of nearly 122 grams of powdered and 70 milliliters of liquid ketamine, one handgun, and one shotgun. Additionally, several thousand dollars in cash were also taken in these raids. As part of the ongoing investigation, two individuals have been arrested and are expected to face federal charges, with further details and identities still undisclosed while the investigation continues, as mentioned in a statement obtained by iHeart radio station 1190 KEX.
