Flagstaff residents will have the chance to learn more about the local criminal justice system through the upcoming CJCC Citizen’s Academy. The program, organized by the Criminal Justice Coordination Council, offers participants an inside look at how the courts and related departments operate, with opportunities to meet judges, court clerks, and probation officers.

As per the Coconino County announcement, the free four-week series will take place on Wednesday evenings in February 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Each session will focus on specific topics such as Understanding Our Courts and Who’s Who in the Justice System. The program will conclude with a Real-World Case Study + Q&A. Participants who complete all sessions will receive a certificate of completion from the Coconino County Board of Supervisors.

Open to residents 18 and older, the academy aims to increase public understanding of the legal process. Registration is required by January 15, 2026. Interested individuals can apply using the QR code or website link provided in the official announcement.
