
Governor Greg Abbott announced the newest members of the Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office Advisory Panel, including Alan Hassenflu, Phil Wilson, Victoria Ford, Kelly Hancock, and Zina Bash, tasked with streamlining regulations. Abbott stated, "The Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office was launched last month to foster economic opportunity and protect individual liberty, and this Advisory Panel will help achieve that," as reported by the Office of the Texas Governor.
The panel brings together leaders from real estate, state infrastructure, health care policy, finance, and law to address regulatory challenges. According to the Office of the Texas Governor, "These experienced leaders across industry and government will bring their expertise to the TREO Advisory Panel to reduce regulatory burdens and eliminate unnecessary rules while increasing transparency for Texans."
Governor Abbott has named a new Advisory Panel to the Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office. The panel members are Alan Hassenflu, co-founder of Fidelis Realty Partners; Wilson, manager of the Lower Colorado River Authority and former Texas Secretary of State; Victoria Ford, President and CEO of the Texas Healthcare & Bioscience Institute; Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock of Fort Worth; and Zina Bash, incoming Chief Legal Officer of Base Power Company. The panel will advise on regulatory practices across state agencies, and the Governor added, "we will keep Texas the premier state for freedom and prosperity," as mentioned by the Office of the Texas Governor.
