In La Vergne, the local police recently helped reunite a lost dog with its owner. Earlier this week, officers came across a lost dog while responding to a call. Around the same time, the department received a report about a missing dog, which turned out to be the same one the officers had found.
The department reported on through Facebook post that while officers stayed with the dog to keep it safe, dispatch received a call about a missing dog. Officers and dispatchers coordinated a meeting, successfully reuniting the dog with its owner.
The La Vergne Police Department posted on a social media post, stating, "It’s always a good day when we can bring families, two-legged and four-legged, back together."
