Despite the technical hiccup, Utility Billing Manager Allison Goutzoulis assured customers, as per the City of La Vergne, that water meter readings are accurate even if payment reflections might fall behind schedule.

Explaining the current state of affairs, Goutzoulis mentioned, "We're about a week and a half behind, but everyone should receive a paper bill." Goutzoulis told the City of La Vergne that completing the full restoration of services might stretch through the end of the year. As the system revives, verifying the accurate application of all payments made during the outage will follow suit.

The interim measures include the acceptance of only cash, check, or money order payments. These can be made either at the billing department or dropped off 24/7 at the designated location on East Nir Shreibman Boulevard. Those accustomed to the convenience of the online portal or automated systems are running into a temporary wall, as these services are down until further notice.
