A landscaper in Fort Lauderdale was hospitalized after suffering a serious electrical shock on Saturday morning, according to local first responders. Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue reported that the man, believed to be in his 30s, was about 20 feet up in a tree working on landscaping when he came into contact with a live power line, NBC Miami reported.

The incident occurred near the 1800 block of Southeast 24th Street. Emergency crews found the man unconscious and not breathing and quickly transported him to Broward Health Medical Center. His condition has not been released. According to Local10, the Fort Lauderdale Police were also on the scene. The man’s identity has not been made public.
