Tragedy struck early Sunday morning in Oak Grove, Kentucky, when a man was fatally shot in a parking lot altercation. According to WSMV, the Oak Grove Police Department responded to a report of shots fired around 3:25 a.m. The incident unfolded in front of a U.S. Post Office on Fort Campbell Boulevard, where 25-year-old Jaylin Glenn was discovered with a gunshot wound to his head.
The confrontation began as patrons queued to gain entry into a lounge and karaoke bar. WKDZ Radio reports that witnesses observed a fight break out in the parking lot, resulting in gunfire. "Emergency personnel gave him CPR but were not able to revive him," WKDZ said. This tragic event has currently left authorities without a suspect, and efforts to seek justice are ongoing.
Further details provided by WKRN noted that despite emergency responders' efforts to perform CPR on Glenn, their attempts were unsuccessful. Official identification was provided after his family had been notified, with the Christian County Coroner's Office confirming Glenn's identity.
